Guardrail for ServiceNow — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 June 2026 · Provided by Codedigital.

Guardrail for ServiceNow is a browser extension that warns before destructive actions on ServiceNow production instances. It runs entirely on your device. It has no backend, no account, and no tracking — it does not send any data to us or to anyone else.

What we store on your device

What we transmit

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests to any server we operate — there is no licence check, no analytics, and no telemetry. Your ServiceNow records, scripts, and business data are never read for collection and never leave your browser; the guardrail and banner operate purely on the page in front of you.

The “team version” link

The popup contains a link to an external waitlist form. It opens in a new tab only if you click it. Anything you choose to enter there is handled by that form’s provider under their privacy policy — not by this extension.

What we do NOT collect

Permissions

The extension requests only storage (to save your settings) and access to *.service-now.com (so it can show the environment banner and the confirmation dialog on those pages). It does not request cookie access, and it loads no remote code — all code is bundled in the package.

Data retention & your choices

Local settings remain until you remove the extension or clear its storage. Because nothing is stored on our side, there is nothing for us to delete. Questions: cowijin@protonmail.com.

Changes
